Access to the registration counter is located at ground level. Access to the presentation rooms and the exhibition is possible through elevators. Wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are located on all levels.

 

Infection prevention at the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) during the 8th Library Congress 2022

In order to make our Library Congress as safe as possible during the Corona Pandemic, we strongly recommend:

  • To wear oral-nasal covering (medical oral-nasal protection, better FFP2 mask) in all indoor spaces of the CCL.
  • This recommendation also applies during the events in the square, except for lecturers and presenters during the lecture.
  • Please follow the general hygiene rules.
  • Please leave the congress as soon as you feel ill.

The Congress app will be available and offers numerous opportunities: search through the programme according to event day, subject or speaker. Draw up your congress calendar according to your own individual requirements. View the congress abstracts. Find the presentation rooms and exhibition stands on the site plan. The app will be available from May in your App Store under "BID2022"

The business exhibition will take place from 31 May to 02 June 2022 from 9:00 to 18:00 at the Congress Center Leipzig.

After the congress you will receive an e-mail with a personalized link which enables you to download your certificate of attendance. There will be no print outs on-site.

The cloakroom is located in the entrance foyer, level -1. Cost per piece: 1,50 EUR.

The closing event takes place on 2 June 2022 at 5:00 p.m. in Hall 2 of the CCL.

This year there will be no Congress Party. There will be a twilight pint in front of the Congress Center on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

On levels 0 and +1 you can again expect a wide range of gastronomic offerings, of course also expanded to include vegetarian dishes. Visit also the snack area at the transition to hall 2 (level 0), here you also have the possibility to eat your food on the terrace "AltaVista".
 
New this year: on the entrance level -1, a coffee stand will prepare various coffee specialties, also with vegan milk.
 
Since this year we will have warmer temperatures during the congress than usual in March, you can also take your coffee outside. To reduce the waste of to-go cups, you can bring your own coffee cup.

The lost property office is located at the registration desk in the entrance level of the CCL.

All presenters are requested to bring their presentation to the media reception (banquet room 2) at least two hours before the presentation.

The name badge, which entitles you to access all lecture rooms, the company exhibition and the opening event, must be worn at all times and be clearly visible. The name badge is also valid as a travel authorization for public transport (tariff zone 110 of the MDV) on the days of your congress registration.

In case of loss of the name badge a fee of 15 € will be charged.

The name badge will be sent to you in mid-May by mail to the main address given during registration. This requires a confirmed registration including full payment of the registration fee by the beginning of May.

The opening event will take place on 31 May 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in Hall 1 of the Congress Center Leipzig in the form of a panel discussion and will focus on the theme of the congress 'FreiräumeSchaffen'. Separate registration is not required, all exhibitors and participants are invited. The name badge is sufficient for admission.

Company presentations will be held on May 31 from 13:45 to 14:45 and on 01 June and 2 June from 12:45 to 13:45. Please register company presentations and other company activities through K.I.T. Group ().

The congress name badge is also valid on the days of your congress registration as a ticket for public transport in the tariff zone 110 of the MDV (except for the reduced day tickets).

For registration and payment until 15 April 2022:

Members of the associations (BIB, VDB, ALBAD, ALA, Bibliosuisse, BVS, BVÖ, VÖB): 125.00 EUR for the season ticket or 85.00 EUR for the day ticket
Non-members: 250,00 EUR for the season ticket or 140,00 EUR for the day ticket
Reduced*: 65,00 EUR for the season ticket and 35,00 EUR for the day ticket**.


For all registrations or payments after 16.04.2022 the fee will increase:

Members of the associations: 147.00 EUR for the season ticket or 95.00 EUR for the day ticket.
Non-members: 290,00 EUR for the season ticket resp. 155,00 EUR for the day ticket
Reduced*: 75,00 EUR for the season ticket or 40,00 EUR for the day ticket**.

* Reduced participants are trainees, students (also of part-time courses of study), trainee lawyers, participants in training programs for skilled workers, unemployed persons, pensioners. Together with the registration, a certificate valid at the time of registration and for the duration of the event must be submitted (by e-mail to registrierung@bibliothekskongress2022.de).
** The reduced day tickets do not include travel authorization for the MDV and a day ticket for the book fair.
