Access to the registration counter is located at ground level. Access to the presentation rooms and the exhibition is possible through elevators. Wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are located on all levels.

On March 18th between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. the BIB-“First-Timer” Get Together will take place in Room M3. Here you can get useful information on the Congress and meet other congress participants while enjoying a cup of coffee and the famous local “Leipziger Lerche.” The number of participants is limited and a free registration is possible through the Online-Registration Form.

The business exhibition will take place from the 18th to the 20th of March from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Congress Center Leipzig.

After the congress you will receive an e-mail with a personalized link which enables you to download your certificate of attendance. There will be no print outs on-site.

The cloakroom is located in the entrance foyer, level -1. Cost per piece: 1,50 EUR.

The closing event takes place on March 21st, 2019 at 12:15 p.m. in Hall 2 of the CCL.

The Congress Bag with all the relevant documents will be ready to pick up at the registration counter.

On Tuesday March 19th, 2019, the congress party will be held in the Moritzbastei (Universitätststraße 9, 04109 Leipzig), which is located in the city center (admission from 7:00 p.m.). Due to limited space, participation is only possible with an entry ticket.

Guest of Honour of the 7th Library Congress 2019 is the Netherlands.

The Leipzig Book Fair and the Manga-Comic-Con will take place from the 21st until the 24th of March 2019. With your name badge you can visit the Book Fair for free on Thursday the 21st. Furthermore, you get a voucher for a day ticket, which you can pick up at the registration counter (not valid for reduced day-tickets).

The lost property office is located at the registration desk in the entrance level of the CCL.

All speakers are requested to hand in their presentation at the media submission office (Bankettraum  2, level 0) at latest two hours prior to their presentation.

Media submission opening hours:
Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

On Wednesday March 20th, several mobile libraries will be presented in front of the CCL.

The opening event takes place on March 18th at 11:30 a.m. in the CCL, Hall 1. We are pleased to welcome Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands as our guest of honour. The event is open for all congress participants and exhibitors with a valid name badge.

The Product Reviews will be held during the lunch breaks: Monday the 18th of March from 1:00 p.m. to 2.15 p.m. as well as on the 19th and 20th of March from 12:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The name badge also serves as a ticket for the public transport (MDV, Zone 110) from the 18th until the 21st of March 2019 (except for reduced day tickets).

Registration and payment before the 31st of January 2019:

Registration Fee for Members (BIB, VDB, ALBAD, ALA, BIS, BVS, BVÖ, VÖB): 110 EUR for the permanent ticket and 67 EUR for the day-ticket

Registration Fee for Non-Member: 221 EUR for the permanent ticket and 117 EUR for the day-ticket

Reduced Registration Fee*: 55 EUR for the permanent ticket and 25 EUR for the day-ticket**

Registration and payment from the 1st of February 2019 and later:

Registration fee for Members: 130 EUR for the permanent ticket or 77 EUR for the day-ticket

Registration fee for Non-Member: 257 EUR for the permanent ticket or 130 EUR for the day-ticket

Reduced Registration Fee*: 63 EUR for the permanent ticket or 30 EUR for the day ticket**

*for trainees, students incl. dual-track degree courses, vocational management trainees, in-service professional trainees, unemployed colleagues and the retired.
**the reduced day-tickets do neither include the public transport ticket nor the entry to the Leipzig Book Fair.

Recent circumstances have made it necessary to strengthen security measures at the Leipzig Book Fair. For this reason, bag checks have been carried out since 2017. Due to the overlapping of the Book Fair and the Library Congress on Thursday, these security regulations will take effect on this day.
