From March 18th to 21st, 2019, Bibliothek & Information Deutschland e.V. – BID (Library and Information Germany) will be hosting the 7th Library Congress at the Congress Center Leipzig.
Entitled "Libraries for Change", the Congress invites everybody to discuss current challenges and important issues concerning the future of the library and information sector.
As in 2016, participants will again have the opportunity to present to the public innovative projects, initiatives, research results etc. in the form of digital presentations (video clips), replacing the former poster presentations.
The Submission of Clips ended on the 31st of January 2019.
All video clips submitted will be assessed and selected according to form and content. The accepted video clips will later be uploaded to both the Congress website and to Youtube, and will also be stored within the Congress app. The plan is for the clips to be shown in a special viewing room for the duration of the Congress.
Please note the following formal criteria for the video clips:
- Professionally relevant topic
- Maximum duration of 3 minutes
- Use of the following video formats only: AVI, MPG, MPG4, MOV or WMV
- Maximum size of the video file: 2 GB
- No infringement of intellectual property or personal rights of third parties
- Only videos which have been uploaded to YouTube may participate in the Call
Submission of a clip automatically authorizes the Social Media Team to upload the clip to YouTube. Both the Social Media Team and BID are thereby exempted from any third-party claims. With his or her submission the submitter furthermore declares that such any such clip is free from all third-party copyright or royalty liabilities (music, personality, trademark rights etc.).
The clip with the most clicks will be announced as the winner at the closing session of the Congress on March 21st, 2019.
It is naturally not permitted to increase the number of clicks artificially, either manually or through the use of a bot or similar. Self-promotion is, however, encouraged.
For further information about the submission of clips please contact Ms Reitz of K.I.T.-Group (firstname.lastname@example.org ).
We are looking forward to your exciting ideas and their creative realization!
